2011 Music Scholarships

At a ceremony held at the Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art in December 2011 attended by:

  • Mrs. Hedva Almog - Deputy and Substitute Mayor of Haifa
  • Mrs. Bracha Sela – Substitute Chair of the Foundation's Board,
  • Mrs. Aviva Spigelstein – Foundation Director

Haifa Arts Foundation awarded fifty-six music scholarships to outstanding students from these five music institutions in Haifa:

  • Yuval Music Center
  • The Dunie Weizman Conservatory
  • The Samuel Rubin Conservatory
  • Beat School of Music
  • Alcarmel Association School of Music

The ceremony was held with the participation of students and their families, the teachers, and administrators from the various music centers. 

 

Artistic program:

Adiel – Manager, Yuval Music Center, two pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach

Assil Mahamid & Shaden Ayoob - the Samuel Rubin Conservatory of Music, Divertimento by Frolov

Alcarmel Music Association's Eastern Ensemble, One Thousand and One Nights, guided and conducted by musical director Albert Ballan

Naama Shabbat and Rami Kogan - vocal students of Victoria Kuzmin, Beat School of Music, Adele – Fire to the Rain

On behalf of the scholars: Diana Savchenko, Dunie Weizman Conservatory

The movie The Flood—winner of Haifa Arts Foundation's first prize in Haifa International Film Festival 2010— directed by Guy Nattiv, was screened after the scholarships awarding ceremony.
